Long week

I feel like this week will never end, its constant softball game after softball game, fun to watch but so tiring running from one game to the next and not to mention the $$$$ at the snack stand for 4 kids ARGH!!!
Also the training, training, training for the 1/2 marathon in October...

My mojo was shot this morning but I managed to push out the 3 miles....tomorrow is my rest day, and believe it or not I am DREADING Saturdays 5 mile run :(

Panicking already about how many long runs I am going to miss when we are on vacation.  I know I'll be OK and its all just mental, I am going to make sure I get some miles in.

Two 1/2 marathons coming up, wow, I can't believe it....I can't believe I ever would have done this in my life!  This was def. not in my future plans growing up. 
Gotta thank Nicole for getting me started and for all the Diva's that stand by each other.

Week 4 completed :)

Ahhhh Sunday.......
Week 4 COMPLETED!!!!!!!!!!
Did my 3 miles and of course I was suppose to just walk the 3 miles but I threw in some running to, so it was a run/walk morning for me, very humid even at 800am....did a different route today to make it less boring for the kids.
Now relaxing till softball later this afternoon.
Rest day tomorrow, yay!!!

Where there is a will.....

there is a way...........

So I begged my kids to let me get my 4 miles in today, I begged them to ride their bikes around the corner with me until I hit my 4 miles......well, god bless them but I can only push them so much in this HOT, HUMID, LATE AFTERNOON, I managed to get 3.53 miles in, .50 less then what I was suppose to do. 


You know what, I am not going to beat myself up over not finishing my 4 miles you know why, because I def. have earned it especially when I did extra running on the days I was suppose to walk.....so there!! 

LOL  Unfort. I am the type that needs to be convinced I will be "OK"

Little Joey took my phone from me and snapped this picture while I was catching my breathe, he said, "Mommy I know you like to take pictures after you run so I took one of you"

Now tomorrow I can rest easy knowing I did my best, and Sunday when I have to walk 3 miles, I may just walk 2 and run 1....hahaha, see I am contradicting myself.

Arghhhhh....

Good afternoon,

It's been a crazy morning/afternoon, running around, play dates etc. today is my "rest" day but I am trying to figure out how I can do my 4 miles today rather then tomorrow because tomorrow is no good.  This is the part I hate when I am training, things happen on days I need to do miles and then my whole schedule gets thrown off.  Now I have to figure out how to do something this weekend without feeling like I have done nothing :( 

What to do what to do??

So its not Wedneday :( lol

Did you ever get up in the morning and think oh thank god its _______day? 
Well I did this morning, I thought wow, its Wednesday I only have to do 30 mins of XT, so I will ride my bike tonight in the NOT SO HUMID WEATHER.
WRONGGGGGGGGGG, today is only Tuesday, but thankfully I only had to do a 2 EASY MILE run today.
So I met Nicole and Maria on D.D. (Diva Drive we renamed the street lol) and we busted out 2 easy mile, It felt good to do an easy run, not out of breath, of course my head was telling me I should have run faster but NO I am following this 14 week schedule to the best possible ability I can and I will not over do it this time around.

Now, Danielle, lol, TOMORROW is Wednesday so tomorrow I will bike.
Going to enjoy the rest of my day relaxing while the kids do their reading and writing practice, and then the mommy taxi begins again tonight with softball practice.

Juy 19th

Good morning all,

Had a good night last night watching ToniAnn play softball, they won and they are off to States, rumor is, Albany, ack!!! Slept in this morning, felt good but had to jump outta bed and go for my run because its off to another softball game for Nicole now....Almost done with week 3, 1 more day to go!!!
Did my 3 miles r/w with intervals, I am really enjoying running with intervals, I really didn't think I would be able to keep my distance/pace/timing the same or close to it, but so far it has proved to work.  Ran with two little rug-rats, love them but they are a but of a distraction on their bikes, weaving in and out around me, ack!!!
 Now its off to a softball game!!!

Disney Princess Half Marathon

Holy crap everyone, I did it, I registered for another Disney run, I am so excited and nervous at the same time.
I have two diva's going with me, Nicole and Sarah, and Rosie will be doing the 10K while she is down there for a wedding.
I just can't believe I'm registered it doesn't seem real to me right now....my heart is still racing and I keep saying it over and over to Phil, I'M IN I'M IN, lol
Next step is just to book room and airfare....woohooo

July 15th

Good morning
What a gloomy morning, hot and humid to :(  week 3 started today!!
I was NOT feeling inspired to run this morning, woke up moody but I forced myself since I might be rained out tomorrow and I would kick myself if I didn't get it in today.  So I did my 3 miles with a run/walk interval of a ratio of 5:1, that's 5 mins. running and 1 min. walking, and I still finished in under 30 mins. Not bad!!! I really like running with intervals, I don't know why I never done it before, I have to force myself to stop running though when the beep tells me to walk, so what I've been doing instead of totally going from running to a dead walk, I will do a very slow trot, that seems to help me especially when I need to pick up the pace again when the beep tells me to run.
So after my run as I was driving home from DIVA DRIVE lol, I saw a young lady in her 20's with headphones on and she looked like she had been running, she was just sitting on the sidewalk and as I drove passed her I thought, maybe she needs help, so I made a quick u-turn, asked if she was ok and if she needed a bottle of water, she replied she was fine and gave me a big smile and a thank you.
That made me feel like my run was worth it today. :)

July 13th

Good morning all!!!
I did my 2 mile walk this morning, had company with me again lol, poor Nicole, trying to keep up with me, after a 1.5 miles I had to head home so she can get her bike and bike the rest of the miles.  WEEK 2 COMPLETED!!!!! Kinda glad tomorrow is a rest day, lol.  
Now for the rest of the day, softball and chillaxing before the rain comes in.
Week 3 begins Tuesday, BRING IT ON, hope the rain doesn't put a damper on this week :(  hate to miss days because then I feel like I have to "make up" and "do extra" runs argh!!!

July 12th

Good humid morning! ;)
Did my 3 mile run this morning started off good not so hot but by mile 2 I started to feel the humidity, passed my friends Sarah's house and she ran out with a bottle of water for me, thank you Sarah.  Love seeing my diva friends while out running, I get such a running boost!!
Tried out my new APPS the first one, Nike+, I clicked too fast so I couldn't add the picture to the miles etc. so I tried the second app, FitSnip and here is the picture, figured I take a picture of my feet because I am sure you're all getting tired of my sweaty face lol
1 more day of training 2 week left.....ooohh man am I going to dread it when the miles increase.

That is all that's on my mind, I don't know why I am so obsessed with it lol lol , But I am looking forward to taking a break from every day life stuff, although I will be behind on my training, I am gonna MAYBEEEEEEEEE try and get a morning run in around the Disney property if i can.....also wondering whens a good time to start my school supply shopping, YIKES!!!!! gotta try and squeeze it in before vacation starts because I won't have time to get it in when we get home.  What to do what to do ack.....

July 10th, 2014

Good morning, today is almost the end of week 2 of training for the Diva Half marathon.
Got to do my 2 miles r/walk in with my little partner Joey (on his bike).
Still praying that flights open up soon for Feb 2015, I really wanna do another Disney run, also counting down the days till our family trip in August, woohoooo

oooh just wanted to add, I am APP HAPPY, I just found an app called FitSnap, you take your picture and add the miles and duration on the pic, so cool, also the Nike+ app does this as well, but I haven't tried it out yet.

July 9,2014 - Been two years too long

Wow, has it been almost two years!!!!!!??????  Can you tell I am not a good blogger lol

The Florida trip with my friends was an awesome experience, something I would love to do again and I am currently trying to plan another trip for Feb. 2015 but its not looking doable :(  waiting on airfare which hopefully comes out before the marathon reg. opens up.

The Tower Of Terror 10 miler was a great Disney run, it was at night but humidity was terrible, I unfort. didn't run with my friends,  I was trying to make it a fun run but the crowd started to separate us and then my competitive mind got the best of me, so I regret not crossing the finish line with my Divas :(

 It was one of the best trips with out the kids I hate to admit.....
When we returned we then did the Diva 1/2 marathon, another great run, here are some pictures from the Diva 1/2 and my girls first time doing the 5K...Diva mama's and Diva Jrs.  so proud of all these wonderful ladies and their girls!!!
Nicole's 1st 5K she loved it!! and I am proud of her!

We are now into 2014 and a lot has gone on in the past two years, unfort. I didn't get to run any marathons in 2013, 2013 was not really a good year and I lost my mojo but I was still ran daily when I got the chance.
I have to fast forward to May 2014, I ran my 3rd 1/2 marathon, The Long Island marathon, my PR was not beat, I actually added on 5 mins.  :(  I am so dam hard on myself, I don't know why I can't just run to have fun...I def. did not get to train as much as I should have, dam life gets in the way lol...
I have to say that I am proud to have my best friend Margie join us for her first 10K and now I am trying to work on her to do the Diva half this October.
There are now more divas in our little club then when Nicole first got us together....we welcomed family members and more friends, so exciting, and I feel so happy to be part of this wonderful group of ladies, we all have our own racing styles and paces but we all are there to watch each other cross that dam finish line lol.

So now that LI marathon is done, its now time to train in the worst humidity ever for the Diva half marathon again.
My friend Nicole has put out a 14 week program which starts out slow and steady and slowly increases your mileage, its a combination of run/walk with intervals, XTraining and then just a simple run during the weeks it increases.  I am kinda liking it and I hope to be able to follow the schedule, and I keep promising myself I am GOING TO MAKE THIS A FUN RUN NOT A BEAT THE CLOCK RUN, if i can only convince myself the day of the race. ;)
During my XT days I have taken the kids out with me on bike rides, so exhausting, but I am glad to see the kids have an interest other then ipads and tv shows.

Now lets see if I can keep up with my blogging and track my training.
